Oakwood Cemetery constantly strives to conduct each interment with as much respect and dignity as possible. Although not always possible, our aim is to have the area freshly mowed during the summer months and to have the snow moved during the winter months.

Oakwood allows funeral flowers to be left at the grave and will dispose of them after about a week. We would appreciate though if you have a great many flowers if you would give some to the local nursing homes, this will help keep our costs down and insure that our policy of allowing more than a casket spray of flowers will be viable for years to come.

Oakwood Cemetery must require at least 48 hours notice of an interment to be sure there is enough time to prepare. We will try to let you know if there is going to be another funeral in the same area of the cemetery at the time as your service. If upon entering the cemetery you encounter another service, please halt your procession to accommodate and show respect for the other service. This will help insure that all interment services at Oakwood cemetery will be conducted with the proper dignity and respect that they deserve.

If there is a special circumstance that you wish to have accommodated, please contact the cemetery office and if possible, we will do our best with your request.

For double interment of cremated remains, please contact the cemetery office for a quote. Please be prepared with the date of interment, time, and size of the container(s) when you call.

Oakwood Cemetery requires a concrete burial container (vault) for all full body interments.

Oakwood Cemetery requires a recoverable container for all infant and cremated interments.

*The fee at the time of purchase for the right of second interment(cremated remains)-One Half the Price of each grave.

**Columbarium niches allow one or two cremated remains, and companion or individual niche plaques with final date(s) included for the same price. The cemetery must be immediately notified of death to qualify for free final date. The inurnment (putting the ashes in the columbarium) is free during regular business hours only.

Funerals arriving in the cemetery after 3:30pm will be assessed a late fee of $40.00 each 15 min. of fraction thereof. No funerals after 4:30pm.
